I’m lying in the trench and hear bombs. One of them can get into me, but I’m not afraid. It turns out that fear exists only when a past or a future exist, in the present there is none. I don’t know what will happen in a moment, but here and now my life is still lasting. After the bombardment, I was captured, and then I got into a band of soldiers from the battalion Aidar. They have become my new world, which I want to tell about. For these 80 minutes, I didn’t turn off the camera, because life was lasting while recording was continuing.


Graduated from the Nizhny Novgorod State Philology Faculty named after Lobachevsky, worked as a journalist. In 2012 she entered the Documentary Film and Theatre School of Marina Razbezhkina and Mikhail Ugarov in Moscow. Her documentaries God’s Will and Chechen have been screened in prestigeous international documentary film festivals and awarded with multiple prizes.
