Vladimir, 52, lives in Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. A few years ago he was diagnosed with HIV after heavy usage of hard drugs in youth. He had to quit his job and now makes cemetery fences and makes some money on the side as a plumber. He’s upset that he didn‘t do anything significant for the largest part of life, but remembers that he has a dream. He wants to go to the south of Kyrgyzstan, to the City of Osh, to buy candy and bake a cake for children in the orphanage where he grew up and has never been to ever since.


Graduated the Faculty of Philology at the Krasnoyarsk State University of Education, during studies worked as an editor in the Krasnoyarsk TV-company Afontovo. In 2010 entered the St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Cinema as director of documentary films. During his studies he made several short films. In 2013 he graduated from the Faculty of Photo Correspondents and completed an internship at Bedfordshire University in England as a documentary film director.
